Do you work in science and innovation policy or funding?
Do you want to better understand how to assess the effects of policy in delivering economic and societal goals?
The Manchester Institute of Innovation Research, as a leading centre in the study of science, technology and innovation policy and evaluation methodologies, has been offering a residential professional development course on evaluation of science and innovation policies since the 1980s. Based on forty years of evaluation experience, we are able to call upon a wealth of expertise, both from staff with practical experience of the conduct of evaluations, and from policy makers and practitioners.
Join us in Manchester from 22-26 May 2017 for a residential course on the Evaluation of Science and Innovation Policies, where you will learn about evaluation tools and approaches, get to grips with indicators, bibliometrics and altmetrics, and consider how to evaluate the institutions involved in delivering STI policy, and the broad range of economic and societal impacts of policy decisions.
The course, led by Professor Jakob Edler, will be taught by members of the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research, alongside guest speakers.
