The challenges of getting evaluation evidence into use are particularly stark in the humanitarian sector. The recent Learning Paper, ‘From knowing to doing: evidence use in the humanitarian sector’ explores these challenges to the uptake of research (much of it evaluation research), and emerging solutions. Many of the challenges identified from this most challenging of environments for evaluation and broader research uptake are more acute versions of the challenges faced in other sectors. And many of the solutions which are emerging in the humanitarian sector are also much more widely applicable
