EES membership stands at more than 550 today (October 2014). We have members from 74 countries of which 27 from European countries. They are part of a vibrant community that seeks to promote evaluation excellence and independence in Europe and beyond. Whether you are an evaluator, an evaluation manager, an evaluation commissioner, a user of evaluation services, a social scientist, an auditor or a citizen who recognizes that evaluation is an integral part of good governance in the public, private and voluntary sectors EES needs you to generate ideas, participate in events and contribute to the professionalization of our discipline.
EES members have voting rights and shape the policies of the Society. They benefit from EES activities by connecting to other members; getting involved in on-line debates; joining and creating thematic working groups; keeping track of employment opportunities; securing discounts for EES conferences and events; etc. All members receive copies of Connections, the EES Newsletter, as well as Evaluation, the International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice.
Anyone who is interested in evaluation will benefit from an EES membership, including those commissioning, managing, conducting, and using evaluations. EES members come from many different communities of evaluation practice and research, including national and local public administrations, universities and research institutions, professional and sectoral organisations, international agencies, European institutions, and NGOs.
