PPOL STUDIO

We are seeking a proactive consultant with mixed methods research background. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, fluent in English and Spanish and capable for independent and proactive work. This role requires immediate availability and a commitment to delivering high-quality insights to drive strategic decision-making. The position is for part-time and remote-based, with potential travel to Ecuador

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, execution and management of research projects.
  • Develop research instruments such as surveys, interview guides, and focus group protocols.
  • Contribute to data collection, including interviews, focus groups, surveys, and field observations in both English and Spanish.
  • Analyze qualitative data using techniques such as thematic analysis, coding, and content analysis. (NVivo, QuIP, dedoose)
  • Analyze quantitative data using statistical software and methodologies (SPSS/STATA)
  • Synthesize and interpret research findings to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations in both English and Spanish for diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improving research processes and methodologies.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and team members to ensure project alignment and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Public Health, Market Research, Business Administration).
  • Proven experience in conducting mixed methods research.
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Experience with data analysis software (NVivo, QuIP, dedoose and SPSS/Stata)
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Immediate availability
  • Proactive approach to identifying and solving research challenges.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a consulting or advisory role.
  • Knowledge of education teacher professional development
  • Ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
