Use of AI for Quantitative Data Analysis Workshop

Until a month ago ChatGPT was terrible with numbers and would give unreliable results once figures were involved. The model could only be ‘trusted’ with text and qualitative data analysis 

However, the latest model, ChatGPT-4o  is quite good at visualising data, running multiple regressions, generating histograms, pie charts and the whole works. There are also other AI models that are also giving ChatGPT a run for its money where quantitative data analysis is concerned. 

We are therefore hosting a webinar on this latest development. 

The  webinar is designed to introduce participants to the use of AI, for basic quantitative data analysis. It is not intended to show persons how to do advanced statistical analyses. Rather the webinar focuses on enabling persons to use AI models such as ChatGPT to generate visualisations, simple charts and perform basic statistical analyses, such as calculating frequencies.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Understand and apply ethical and safe practices when using AI.
  •  Utilise ChatGPT to conduct basic quantitative data analysis, including generating charts and performing basic statistical analyses (exploring frequencies, means and inferential statistical tests such as t test, correlations, and regression).

This webinar is ideal for individuals who are interested in leveraging AI tools for basic data analysis tasks. No prior experience with advanced statistics is required.
