3rd EES Learning Hub series – “Future-fit evaluation: navigating complexity and co-creating systemic change”

We are excited to launch our 3rd EES Learning Hub Series – “Future-fit evaluation: navigating complexity and co-creating systemic change”.

The series will be split into three areas:

1. Sparking Discussion: “Can Evaluation Help Shape Regenerative Futures?”

  • Date: Wednesday, 14 January 2026
  • Time: 14h00 CET
  • Duration: 90 minutes

This opens the series with the core idea of co-creating futures. It heightens evaluation community’s awareness of the need for a fundamentally new evaluation paradigm, given today’s polycrisis.

2. Workshop #1 : “Where Nothing Is Clear and Everything Keeps Changing: What it means for evaluation to recognise complexity”

  • Date: Wednesday, 11 February 2026
  • Time: 14h00 – 17h00 CET
  • Duration: 3 hours

This workshop supports the “navigating complexity” part of the title. This generates a dialogue about values and principles to encourage a more relational, appreciative and systemic approach to learning and evaluation. Using a series of provocations as navigation aids, participants will discover, explore, and co-create their mutual assumptions and expectations.

3. Workshop #2 : “Three Horizons: Seeing, thinking, planning and evaluating differently for an aspirational future – and building the agency to get there”

  • Date: Tuesday, 10 & Thursday, 12 March 2026
  • Time: 14h00 – 16h00 CET each day
  • Duration: 4 hours (plus breaks) split over two days to allow for participant internalisation between sessions

This connects directly with “co-creating systemic change.” Equip participants with an effective, inspiring way to make your strategies, programmes and portfolios, as well as your learning opportunities and evaluations, more future-ready.
