The NACHBAR IN NOT Non-Profit Private Foundation is commissioning an Evaluation of its current Humanitarian Response Program in Ukraine. The program is being implemented with funding from the Austrian Government /Austrian Development Agency.
The objectives of the evaluation are: 1) To evaluate this Ukraine Response Program’s performance in terms of the inter-connection of its humanitarian action. 2) To evaluate the program’s efforts and achievements in strengthening gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. 3) To determine the reasons for achieving intended or any unintended results of the individual projects funded by the program and draw lessons for the continuation of the “NACHBAR IN NOT Emergency Action Ukraine” (NACHBAR IN NOT UKRAINE HILFSAKTION) and for similar future emergency response actions of such a scale, complexity and expected protracted nature.
The evaluation aims to focus on three of the Result Areas of the Program: 1) Improved Rights and Dignity of the conflict-affected population, with a specific focus on preventing and addressing gender-based violence. 2) Improved Physical and Mental health of the conflict-affected population with a specific focus on gender-specific needs of men, women, boys, girls. 3) Improved Livelihoods and Income Opportunities of the conflict-affected population with specific focus on women’s economic empowerment. – The individual projects within this program are carried out various regions throughout Ukraine. – Extensive evaluation experience in humanitarian settings and inclusion of an experienced gender expert in the evaluation team are among the key criteria as is preparedness to collect data on the ground, in those regions of Ukraine which are outside active conflict zones.
