BEID Consulting Services is currently preparing a proposal and is seeking qualified national evaluation officers with below requirements:
- Position: Evaluation Officer – Agronomist / Livelihoods Specialist
- Requirements:
- University degree in agriculture, agronomy, rural development, livelihoods, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in agriculture and livelihoods programming, monitoring and evaluation, and/or applied research.
- Expertise in climate-resilient agriculture and agricultural value chains.
- Experience with farmer support models, including Farmer Field Schools (FFS).
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring, evaluation, and/or research related to agriculture and livelihoods interventions.
- Knowledge of horticulture and community-based livelihoods interventions.
- Working knowledge of English and local language proficiency is required.
- Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design of sector-specific and evaluation data collection tools.
- Support field data collection related to agriculture and livelihoods components.
- Lead analysis of agriculture and livelihoods results and outcomes.
- Provide technical inputs to evaluation findings and recommendations.
- Position: Evaluation Officer – Civil / Water Resources Engineer (Hydrology / IWRM)
- Requirements:
- University degree in civil engineering, water resources engineering, hydrology, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in water resources or infrastructure-related programmes, including monitoring, evaluation, and/or applied research.
- Experience with small- to medium-scale water infrastructure (e.g., check dams, canals, irrigation systems).
- Knowledge of groundwater monitoring, hydrological analysis, and Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM).
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring, evaluation, and/or technical research related to water resources interventions.
- Working knowledge of English and local language proficiency is required.
- Responsibilities
- Support assessment of water infrastructure and natural resource management interventions.
- Contribute to field assessments and technical analysis.
- Provide sector-specific inputs to evaluation findings and recommendations.
- Position: Evaluation Officer – Animal Health / Livestock Specialist
- Requirements:
- University degree in veterinary sciences, animal husbandry, livestock development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in livestock and animal health interventions, including monitoring, evaluation, and/or research.
- Experience with smallholder livestock systems and animal health services.
- Familiarity with women-focused poultry and livestock-based livelihoods interventions.
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring, evaluation, and/or applied research related to livestock and animal health.
- Working knowledge of English and local language proficiency is required.
- Responsibilities:
- Support evaluation of livestock and animal health components.
- Contribute to field data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Provide technical inputs to evaluation conclusions and recommendations.
- Position: Evaluation Officer – Gender and Social Inclusion (GESI) Specialist
- Requirements:
- University degree in gender studies, social sciences, development studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in gender and social inclusion, including monitoring, evaluation, and/or research assignments.
- Proven experience in gender-responsive and inclusive evaluations.
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring, evaluation, and/or research with a strong GESI focus.
- Strong understanding of ethical and safe inclusion of women, returnees, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups in data collection.
- Ability to apply GESI principles across evaluation design and analysis.
- Working knowledge of English and local language proficiency is required.
- Responsibilities
- – Ensure integration of gender and social inclusion across the evaluation.
- – Support development of gender-sensitive data collection tools.
- – Lead analysis of GESI-related findings and recommendations.
