22nd October 2025

This autumn, the European Evaluation Society (EES) will hold an election for its future leadership. We are inviting nominations for the following crucial positions, which will commence their four-year term on 1 January 2026:

  • Vice-President / Future President (term: 2026-2029)
  • Two (2) New Board Members (term: 2026-2029)

A Call for Leadership and Commitment

A position on the EES Board is not an honorary title; it is a profound opportunity that requires a significant commitment of time, energy, and flexibility to contribute to a variety of tasks. However, it is also a highly enriching and exciting journey that allows you to directly shape the future of evaluation in Europe.

We strongly encourage every member to seriously consider either nominating an able colleague or submitting their own nomination for these elected positions. We particularly welcome candidates who can bring fresh experience from national and European evaluation institutions and who have clear ideas of improving our society and fulfilling our mission.

The Role of Vice-President / Future President

The Vice-President role offers a critical opportunity to influence the strategic future direction of the society. As President-Elect, the successful candidate is seasoned, respected and well-connected within the realm of European evaluation as she or he is expected to assume the Presidency of the EES when the next President’s term expires at the end of December 2027.

Crucially, the Vice-President will have a major influence on shaping and overseeing the next biennial EES conference in 2028. This is an exciting leadership opportunity, and we warmly welcome nominations of committed and creative EES members!

Please note: The Secretary General and Treasurer will be appointed by the EES Board at its first meeting, according to EES Statutes, Article 11.

Nomination Details and Deadline

Two sets of nomination forms are enclosed with this mailing:
