Arts-Based Methods for Evaluators is an exciting beginner-level online course that introduces practicing evaluators (anywhere in the world) to creative techniques for data-collection. Together, we explore 4 low-cost and easy-to-implement techniques: poetry, drawing, photo elicitation, and collage. Plus, we’ve added a brand-new imaginative interviewing session to take your qualitative interviewing skills to the next level. Small class sizes, real-world examples, and hands-on skill-building make this course a must-have for evaluators looking to jazz up their practice.

Zero artistic skill is required. At least some experience with qualitative data collection and analysis techniques is required.

The course will run for 6 consecutive weeks starting April 13, 2023 and is $875.00 CAD (+GST for folks in Canada). Two time options are available to choose from (while supplies last). All sessions will be in English. Register before January 31, 2023 with the code: EARLYBIRD2023 to receive a $75 CAD off. Flexible fee options to promote equity may be available upon request.

Facilitators Dr. Maya Lefkowich and Jennica Nichols from AND Implementation Inc – the arts-based evaluation firm in British Columbia, Canada – are passionate about making creative methods for evaluation useful, accessible, and meaningful.
