As Marie-Hélène Adrien’s term as Co-Chair of EVALSDGs concludes, we invite self-nominations for two Executive Committee (ExCom) roles: Co-Chair and Co-Vice-Chair. These leadership positions are pivotal to advancing the contribution of evaluation to the 2030 Agenda.

EVALSDGs is a global, volunteer network within the EvalPartners family, dedicated to strengthening evaluation for the SDGs through advocacy, knowledge generation, and partnership. To learn more about who we are and what we do, please see:

Why serve now?

  • Shape the next chapter. Help articulate and deliver EVALSDGs’ priorities for 2026–2028, including advocacy at global forums, support to VOPEs and partners, and practical tools for SDG-focused evaluation.
  • Amplify the field’s voice. Strengthen visibility of evaluation evidence in SDG implementation and review processes (e.g., HLPF, regional forums).
  • Grow the coalition. Co-create partnerships across the EP family, GEI, VOPEs, UN and government actors, academia, and civil society.

Role expectations (volunteer; home-based)

  • Time: ~3–5 hours/week on average (virtual meetings; in-person participation is self-funded if applicable).
  • Leadership & strategy: Provide direction for EVALSDGs’ workplan, represent the network, and champion evaluation’s role for the SDGs.
  • Management & coordination: Support working groups to deliver outputs; help navigate institutional constraints; contribute to resource mobilization.
  • Advocacy & engagement: Drive joint initiatives with partners (e.g., VOPE-led events, GEI, EP networks).
  • Knowledge & capacity: Co-steer development and sharing of guidance, spotlights/case studies, and learning products on SDG evaluation.

How to self-nominate (two simple steps)

Email your 1- motivation statement (max 400 words), 2- describe one idea or initiative you would like to champion as part of the EVALSDGs Executive Committee, and 3- How much time can you realistically commit per week to EVALSDGs activities? and CV with the subject line “EVALSDGs ExCom Nomination – [Role] – [Your Name]” to:
