Description:
This January 2024 sees the return of our popular specialist training for international development practitioners and professionals: Contribution Analysis for Impact Evaluation

This course will support you in designing your impact evaluations more effectively – using a contribution analysis approach. And unlike online offerings, this training is unique in that you will benefit from in-person training from expert IDS teaching staff, while working on a real-world challenge your organisation faces. You’ll work in groups with other international development professionals, gaining insights from face-to-face, peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, as you grapple with solutions to your workplace challenges.

As the course progresses, you’ll apply your knowledge incrementally. You will end up with a ‘finished’ example of a strong, interlinked mixed-methods research design to verify the theory of change of a project or programme, which you can take back to your organisation to positively impact its work.

Who is this course for?
• Experienced independent evaluators
• Programme implementers
• Early-stage researchers interested in innovative and mixed research methods
• Evaluation commissioners – including policy makers.
