Through capacity-building measures and financial support for cross-border publications, the project supports a total of twelve independent online media in Armenia, Belarus, Georgia and Ukraine in developing a clearly recognisable journalistic profile and to strengthen both their journalistic identity and their respective position on the domestic media market. Through semi-structured, qualitative interviews (in English) with the twelve media involved the evaluation aims at finding out to what extent the project goals have been achieved. In addition, the more general results of the evaluation will help to improve the planning and the design of future projects to support media in Eastern Europe.
