The UNESCO Evaluation Office is currently seeking proposals from individual consultants and/or evaluation companies to conduct the corporate Evaluation of UNESCO’s work on teacher development. As custodian of SDG 4 on quality education, UNESCO is tasked amongst other with the development of teachers and thrives through its work to address a variety of issues relevant to them in order to enhance quality teaching and favour learning worldwide (e.g. teacher retention, capacity-building, curriculum content, etc.). The evaluation will focus on assessing the contribution of UNESCO’s Education Sector to teacher development at the global level since 2016 and the findings from this evaluation will feed into the design of a new eight-year Strategy for the Organization.
The evaluation will take place between January and July 2022.
