The post is located within the Country Programme Evaluation Workstream of the IEO. The Evaluation Specialist is responsible for conducting, managing, and overseeing independent country programme evaluations (ICPEs), which are implemented for UNDP program countries and territories around the globe at the penultimate year of a country programme cycle. The ICPEs feed into the development of new Country Programme Documents and strategies by programme units, by providing a set of evidence-based findings, conclusions, and recommendations. The Evaluation Specialist reports to the Chief of Country Programme Evaluation. He/she may be also asked to support the Chiefs of other Workstreams and IEO Directorate to support the Office’s smooth and efficient delivery of its Programme of Work.
