Description:
The EU Green Agriculture Initiative in Armenia (EU-GAIA) project, is a project focusing on development of Green Agriculture in Armenia. It is funded by the European Union (EU) and co-funded by the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC). The project is implemented by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), the operational unit of ADC and co-implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The EU-GAIA project worth is 12.3 million Euros and the project duration, that started on 1 October 2019, is 52 months
According to the Description of Action of the EU-GAIA Project , ADA intends to undertake an ex-ternal final evaluation in 2023, the last year of operation: “The external final evaluation is planned to be undertaken during the last six months of the implementation period, based on OECD stand-ards (relevance, impact, efficiency, effectiveness, sustainability”.
The purpose of the final evaluation is to provide the donors (EU and ADA), the implementing agency and the EU-GAIA project team (ADA), the Armenian Ministry of Economy as well as project stakeholders with an account concerning the use of funds and results achieved at the time of re-porting, and to propose future interventions in the field of Climate Smart Agriculture.
