The Independent Evaluation Unit (UIS) of the International Trade Center (ITC) gathers an evaluation consultant to carry out the evaluation of the Colombia PUEDE project. The evaluation process, including evaluation preparation, approach design, data collection, report writing and communication, is expected to take place between July 2022 and February 2023.
The Project aims to reduce rural poverty within the framework of the objectives of the Peace Agreement signed in 2016 by the Government of Colombia and the extinct Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia. It has aimed to contribute to the improvement of the incomes of small farmers and their families in four municipalities of Colombia by focusing on using trade promotion in three priority value chains (Tahiti acid lime, cocoa and coconut), as a tool to remedy the destruction of livelihoods and high levels of poverty.
At the project level, the evaluation will analyse the achievement of results focused on impact and project management methods. It will also provide insight into how future ITC interventions can contribute to improving sustainable and inclusive livelihoods, boosting the competitiveness of producers and market partnerships and creating viable business ecosystems in the context of post-conflict countries.
