Ford Foundation’s Program on Natural Resources and Climate Change

The Ford Foundation is seeking proposals for an external program strategy evaluation of its work on Natural Resources and Climate Change. We are currently open to receiving submissions from teams or individuals interested in this opportunity.

In the Request for Proposals, you will find the purpose of the evaluation, key evaluation questions, and some thoughts on the desired skill set for the evaluation team. We would like to stress that the program is looking for an evaluator(s) who has:

  • Deep experience with portfolio-level monitoring, evaluation, and learning of complex social change, with a focus on social justice evaluation
  • Subject-area expertise in environmental justice and human rights (e.g. territories, land and rights; extractive industries, corporate accountability and state capture; just energy transition; social movements; Indigenous peoples’ rights)
  • Strong experience with equity-focused, culturally responsive, and/or feminist evaluation, engaging stakeholders and grantees as participants, contributors, and co-learners
  • Work experience conducting evaluative activities in Ford’s NRCC focus regions.

The deadline for submissions is  August 5, 2022. We will hold a webinar to address questions related to this RFP on July 6, 2022. You can find more details about the submission requirements in this document.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Subarna Mathes at s.mathes@fordfoundation.org and Rebeca Sandoval at r.sandoval@fordfoundation.org
