Are gender-sensitive climate initiatives actually helping both women and men? How can we know for sure?
Over the past decade, gender has become a key consideration in the global response to climate change. Leading climate organizations recognize that climate change affects women and men differently due to existing social and economic inequalities.
By taking these differences into account, climate initiatives can be more effective, equitable, and sustainable. But how do we know if we’re achieving the right results?
Monitoring and evaluating gender-sensitive climate actions is a challenging task. Relevant data is often missing. Impact is difficult to measure. And identifying meaningful indicators is far from straightforward.
What needs to change? And how can we gather better evidence to design climate projects that genuinely support gender equality?
The Center for Learning on Evaluation and Results for Lusophone Africa and Brazil (CLEAR-LAB) and the Global Evaluation Initiative (GEI) are hosting a webinar to explore lessons from major climate financing institutions, including the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the Climate Investment Funds (CIF).
Join the discussion on April 30, 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM (EDT).
