Description:
The World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA) is a purpose-driven organisation that is committed to enhancing corporate accountability and promoting sustainable development. We evaluate the performance of the world’s largest 2,000 companies through publicly available benchmarks that are widely utilised by investors, civil society, governments and companies.

The impact and learning team focuses on strengthening our monitoring, evaluation and learning systems, ensuring learning is firmly embedded in everything we do. WBA is seeking an Impact Researcher to play a crucial role in our impact and learning team. We are looking for an individual with strong methodological knowledge to design and implement case studies and impact projects that allow us to gain a deeper understanding of WBA’s influence and impact.

What you will do:
– Design and implement research: collaborate with various teams within WBA to identify, design and execute case studies and impact projects aligned with our Theory of Change and learning agenda. Work with teams to develop robust research questions and methodologies.
– Measure impact: develop monitoring systems that assess the validity of WBA’s Theory of Change and its underlying assumptions. Gather and analyse data to track progress towards our objectives and provide support for WBA-wide external evaluations.
– Guide and manage research projects: lead and provide guidance to colleagues and external partners involved in research projects to ensure successful outcomes.
– Generate insights: translate the findings from case studies and impact projects into actionable learnings and areas for organisational improvement. Systematise the identification, analysis, documentation and dissemination of lessons learned;
– Engage with donors: contribute to the development of donor proposals and reports (incl. quarterly reports) and engage in conversations with (potential) donors.
– Contribute to organisational learning: play a key role in the design and implementation of organisational learning tools and processes such as our learning agenda;
– Cultivate a learning culture: champion a culture of learning, identifying learning needs and co-create relevant internal learning activities and programs such as workshops, trainings and toolkits.
