The Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) conducts independent country programme evaluations (ICPEs) to assess UNDP’s contribution to national development priorities and the effectiveness of its strategy.
The IEO is hiring an independent national consultant to support the evaluation team in the data collection. The consultant will also support the assessment of the strategic components of the evaluation, provide necessary local and contextual knowledge to the ICPE, and support the development of recommendations for the evaluation taking into account the country context and UNDP positioning.
The assignment includes home-based work and leading in-person data collection activities in Sierra Leone should the COVID-19 situation allow. The main evaluation phase, including desk reviews, data collection and analysis, report drafting, are expected to take place between Q2 and Q3in 2022. The assignment envisages approximately 25 working days.
