Submission Deadline: 30th November 2023
Event Date: 21st – 23rd February 2024

Description:
The biennial knowledge-sharing event of Evaluation Community of India (ECOI) is slated to be held during 21 -23 February 2024, at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The event is conceptualized on the premise that every stakeholder in development has something innovative to bring to the field of evaluation. Therefore, apart from the sessions that feature talks and discussions, EvalFest2024 includes a half day participatory session on innovative practices in evaluation- approaches/methodologies/tools/ technology application/ and outcomes/ disseminations, etc., through an ‘Innovation Bazaar’. Innovation Bazaars were part of the previous EvalFests (except in 2022 when the event was on-line) also, and were a great draw capturing the interest of and participation by several enthusiastic innovators.

‘Innovation Bazaar’ is where individuals/organizations present their creative work around evaluation and, in exchange, get participants’ feedback and experience to enable improvements. The bazaar will be in the form of a space with each selected presenter having a stall to present, and the participants visit the ‘bazaar stall’ to hear from the presenters in an interactive form. Presentations can be around gender, inclusion, use of AI and other technology, communication of findings, utilization of evaluation use of art forms in evaluation, evidence synthesis, etc. The list is illustrative and not exhaustive. We are not categorizing so as not to limit sharing of creative work. You are welcome to use any innovative medium e.g., story-telling, posters etc. (In order to minimize disturbance using audio speakers would not be allowed). Presenters will need to bring their own laptops, projectors and other equipment needed for showcasing their innovations.

In view of the constraints on time and space, final inclusion of submissions will be through selection by a screening committee. While participation is open to all, members of ECOI will be given preference in the final selection.

Kindly send us your proposal in about 300 words covering:
1. Innovation in what field (be as specific as possible and it should have a close relation to evaluation)
2. Why is it innovative?
3. What can others learn from it?
4. Was done by whom, and where and with what results?
5. Any problems faced and how they were overcome

The Proposal should include
 Name of presenter(s)/Name of organization,
 Title of presentation,
 Abstract of presentation,
 Contact details (Phone, Email id)
