Key information to encourage interest
The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) is seeking an experienced and culturally sensitive evaluator to lead a comprehensive assessment of our global Reporting Portals. Established across 51 countries, these 53 portals offer a vital, anonymous platform for individuals to report online child sexual abuse imagery for assessment and removal by our UK-based team. While these portals have a broad reach, they are underutilised, and this evaluation will play a key role in identifying barriers to usage and improving their effectiveness.

The successful candidate will bring a strong background in mixed-method evaluations, preferably with experience in the Global South. The evaluation will focus on assessing the portals’ impact, identifying successful collaborations, and providing strategic recommendations to enhance their visibility, usability and integration with local systems. The role will also involve travel to selected countries for on-site data collection and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities include conducting both qualitative and quantitative research, working closely with international stakeholders and producing actionable insights to optimise the portals’ performance and contribution to global efforts in tackling online child sexual exploitation.

This role is an opportunity to contribute to a globally significant project, helping to safeguard children and tackle the growing threat of child sexual abuse online. For more detailed information on the scope of work and deliverables, please refer to the PDF at the job role URL.
