The Global Fund to End Modern Slavery (GFEMS)
Location: Washington, D.C. metro area
The Global Fund to End Modern Slavery (GFEMS) is moving in a new strategic direction to be responsive to anti-trafficking sector needs for survivor-centered approaches. We are seeking a MEL Specialist to lead an evidence and learning strategy to support advocacy, movement building, and survivor-centered environments.
As the MEL Specialist, you will be at the heart of establishing an evidence and learning (E&L) strategy to support advocacy, movement building, and survivor-centered environments. The E&L strategy will measure the extent to which the Fund is shifting traditional power imbalances between donors and grantees, and building capacity and sustainability of grassroots, Global South, and survivor-led organizations.
You will need to be able to understand frameworks for measuring and monitoring systemic change in complex systems. This includes application of adaptive theories of change, outcomes development and monitoring, design of effective feedback mechanisms, and support for data collection that ensures relevant learning. The MEL Specialist will help the team extrapolate clear insights and implications of the research to support the Fund’s core objectives of transforming the modern slavery sector through advocacy, movement building, and survivor-centric approaches. You will also be responsible for leading knowledge dissemination for the Fund, translating data into actionable insights for external circulation.
