Brief outline of Project:
IOCE is seeking a part-time consultant to play a crucial role in achieving our communication, storytelling, and knowledge management objectives over an initial one-year period. Your contributions will be instrumental in:
● Review existing communication platforms and consult with IOCE and EvalPartners task forces, networks, committees, members, and volunteers to inform the development of a communication and knowledge management work plan, leveraging current knowledge management practices.
● Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework for communications and knowledge management activities, including establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the reach, engagement, and impact of IOCE’s and EvalPartners’ communications and storytelling across platforms.
● Review and develop the content for the IOCE and EvalPartners websites.
● Prepare and lead the design of communications products that effectively convey the key messages to the targeted audience(s).
● Manage the regular flow of news/information about IOCE’s and EvalPartners’ work to the media.
● Coordinate and publish IOCE and EvalPartners newsletters, particularly concerning the curation, design, and editing of the content.
● Generate and/or facilitate the production of specific visibility content, including text, photos, videos (editing, creating reels, and shorts), and audio (editing for example, podcasts and soundbites), for use across a range of online platforms to support global and country fundraising activities, ensuring consistency with IOCE and EvalPartners messages.
● Prepare stories and generate new ideas for publications on relevant topics related to IOCE, EvalPartners, and other appropriate channels, including social media (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube).
● Provide editorial advice and support to develop existing and new e-learning modules/courses using text and video tools, including the layout.
● Coordinate and prepare accurate and timely reporting on communications activities that enables informed decision-making, progress on IOCE’s and EvalPartners’ objectives, and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.
● Contribute to document management and dissemination, improving information flow and support.
● Any additional new tasks that the ExCom will deem necessary.
The consultant will work closely with the IOCE President, ExCom, Secretariat, and task force chairs, as well as EvalPartners Co-Chairs, ExCom, and network chairs. The consultant will report to and seek guidance from the IOCE ExCom.
The consultant will be initially engaged for 12 months, with the option of extending beyond that timeframe. The consultancy is part-time, with an average of 2 working days per week. However, for the first two to three months, the consultant will be expected to devote a suitable amount of time (up to 15 working days per month, depending on agreed-upon priorities) to reviewing existing platforms and developing the communication and knowledge management work plan. The selected person will be contracted as a consultant by IOCE.
