This position sits within UNDP’s Independent Evaluation Office and supports the Secretariat of the Global SDG Synthesis Coalition. The Coalition is a key component of the Evidence Synthesis Infrastructure Collaborative (ESIC), a broader effort to strengthen global evidence infrastructure and collaboration. The Coalition brings together UN entities, Member States, development banks, donors, and research partners to strengthen the global evidence ecosystem and accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Partnerships and Engagement Specialist will lead the Coalition’s engagement and partnerships strategy, working across the UN system and beyond to promote evidence‑informed decision‑making on the SDGs. The role involves strategic relationship‑building, high‑level advocacy, coordination of global partnerships, and leadership of major events and communications initiatives.
The role is well suited to candidates with:
- Extensive experience in partnerships, engagement, or policy‑related work in international development
- Strong knowledge of evidence, evaluation, or evidence‑informed decision‑making
- Proven ability to engage high‑level stakeholders across the UN system, governments, donors, and international organizations
- Fluency in English (additional UN languages are an asset)
