A QuIP 7-day blended learning online course is for anyone who would like to learn to use the Qualitative Impact Protocol in their work. The course is the equivalent of two days full time, spread over 7 working days. The next one will run from 28th September – 6th October 2020.

The QuIP’s starting point is the belief that, while important, quantitative change data is rarely a sufficient source of evidence of social impact – particularly when trying to find out why and how change has happened; but we know that it can be difficult to access and apply good qualitative research methods within limited budgets. It can also be difficult to convince funders that qualitative research is rigorous and reliable enough. The QuIP, and more recent innovation Causal Map (causal mapping software) have been developed to try to address all these issues, creating an innovative and trusted approach that has already gained recognition by leading donors and non-governmental organisations.

The course will be run with a combination of independent study, pre-recorded lectures and interactive sessions over Zoom with Bath SDR staff, including Prof James Copestake, author of the QuIP and Professor of International Development at the University of Bath. See here for more information about the course. The cost of this course is £500 (plus VAT), which includes personal review of an assignment if you would like accreditation.

If you have any questions or would be interested in attending this or any future sessions, please do get in touch using the details on the leaflet.
