Encompass are offering this new and relevant short course on Real-Time-Evaluation (RTE): Using Timely Evidence and Learning to Drive Improvement. From climate change and pandemics to economic recession and war, the boundaries of conventional evaluation methodologies have been pushed to addresses the volatility, complexity and uncertainty that increasing characterize the evaluand (contexts) where interventions are delivered and evaluated. RTEs are part of a family of complexity-adaptive evaluation methods, (e.g., rapid-feedback evaluation, rapid assessment, real-time learning, rapid evaluation methods, rapid rural appraisal, and more), that provide immediate feedback to inform implementation as well as strategic decision making.

Come join us on March 28, 9 a.m.–12 p.m. EDT for this concise 3-hour online course offered through the Encompass Learning Center that will provide a practical overview of RTEs. By the end of the course, you will understand what are RTEs, their benefits and limitations, and how to plan and conduct them so that you can incorporate them into your evaluation toolbox.
