Following the success of the first Youth in Evaluation week and high global interest, Eval4Action advocacy campaign, its regional partners, Global Parliamentarians Forum for Evaluation and the EvalYouth Global Network are now jointly organizing the second Youth in Evaluation Week, from 08 to 12 July 2024. This event will be an inclusive and intergenerational gathering of the global evaluation community focusing on actions to advance the meaningful engagement of youth in evaluation aligned to the upcoming Summit of the Future 2024. The overarching theme for Youth in Evaluation week 2024 is ‘Upholding Youth in Evaluation standards’.The concept note and call for proposals have now been released.
Key features of the second Youth in Evaluation week:
- Intergenerational collaboration: Co-led and organized by senior and young evaluators
- Share and learn: Self-assessment results on upholding the Youth in Evaluation standards and facilitating champions
- Career boost: Career development training for young evaluation professionals
- Manifesto in action: Showcase of impactful initiatives aligned with the Youth in Evaluation manifesto
- Inclusive experience: Diversity in languages, regions, and generations
- Flexible participation: Contribute easily through virtual, hybrid, and in-person events
With this invitation, we seek your collaboration and support for Youth in Evaluation week 2024. We invite all Eval4Action partners to take the lead in organizing the week with the co-leaders and other partners. The Eval4Action campaign will provide the overall planning, coordination and communication support to the entire event.
In particular, we invite you to:
- Co-organize regional events and training
- Mobilize national VOPEs, EvalYouth national chapters and other national partners to organize events
- Coordinate and support events organized by national VOPEs, EvalYouth national chapters and other national partners
- Support promotions and communication outreach of the event, in languages
- Undertake self-assessment of standards for meaningful engagement of youth in evaluation by 31 March 2024 and share your experience with Eval4Action
