Contract: Full time, 9 month contract

Salary: PRO 2 (56k – 65k)

Location: Remote (Canada)

Reporting to the Manager – Canadian Programming, the Senior Program Officer, Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Research, Durable Solutions for Refugees is responsible for coordinating research and evaluation activities under the RE-HIRES initiative that aims to achieve the following: (1) Use HIRES to build the strong evidence base to promote the use of workplace-led refugee sponsorship to increase Canadian employers’ engagement in the economic integration of refugees; (2) Increase knowledge and awareness among Canadian employers and relevant policymakers on good practices and options to employ and integrate refugee workers; and (3) Identify and assess opportunities to scale workplace-led refugee sponsorship to new sectors, geographies, and employers. RE-HIRES is allowing WUSC to strengthen the evidence base for the next iteration of HIRES, as well as expand the network of stakeholders that could engage in refugee employment and integration.

This posiiton requires a strong background in research and evaluation methodologies and the ability to design and manage multi-stakeholder learning agendas. A strong understanding of youth empowerment and employment programming and a demonstrated commitment to gender equality are a must.
