Description: Monitoring, alongside performance measurement and evaluation, do not take place in a vacuum. It needs to embrace creative partnerships and innovation. The recently completed synthesis of evidence and lessons from WFP’s performance measurement and Monitoring (2018-2021) stimulates a broader discussion on this topic with practical approaches to ensure monitoring systems are fit for purpose, and generate credible, timely data that is used for both accountability, and learning.
