An Interactive Workshop for Social Justice Leaders
Foresight is now one of the most important leadership skills of the 21st century. But social justice leaders at the forefront of change need to be better equipped to face the challenges of this vulnerable, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world to steer their organizations and programs into the future.
We really believe that the challenges facing us today pale in comparison to those that are coming, and that Strategic Foresight provides one set of tools that can help equip us for creating a more liberated, regenerated future. Presented through a lens of social justice, the workshop brings futures-thinking into everyday life. You’ll also build lasting connections with fellow leaders and activists from around the world while learning to address systemic issues and apply power-shifting, decolonial models that empower those most affected.
We’re lucky to have the amazing Sohail Inayatullah (UNESCO Futures Chair), Ben Holt (IFRC’s Solferino Academy), and Dr. Katindi Sivi (African Futures) amongst the guest speakers. Last year, we were really encouraged to hear from participants about the concrete changes the workshop made to their leadership, program planning, visioning, decision-making, advocacy, fundraising, innovating, strategizing — and even personal life.
The trainings are heavily subsidized by us, but we also have a financial assistance program to support local grassroots activists and CBOs to be able to access the same trainings. Anyone interested can find more details in the links below or contact me directly. In solidarity,
