Academy for Cultural Diplomacy

Locations: New York City and Washington D.C.

Introduction

In an age of growing international instability, evermore questions are being posed about the responsibility and the role of the United Nations in today’s interdependent world. At a time when new forms of major conflicts and violence are currently on the rise, we must remember and learn from the global cooperation and the diverse UN initiatives of the past, which have allowed some of us the privilege to no longer live in a region of peoples divided, cultures suppressed and voices oppressed.

The forum will build on this past experience and will bring an interdisciplinary group of politicians, diplomats, journalists and academics together with high level global governance representatives in order to analyse the roll of the UN in this troubling time.

The forum will develop new initiatives, which will promote democracy, strengthen international relations and encourage cooperation between diverse communities based upon values of peace, democracy, human rights and the rule of law.

Locations
The Forum will take place in New York City and Washington D.C. The conference will be hosted in the UN building and at a number of important political, historic, and cultural locations across the cities.

Speakers & Delegates
Speakers and delegates during the conference will include leading politicians, chief diplomats, leading governmental officials, senior academics, renowned authors, journalists, and celebrated artists. These speakers will include a large number of individuals from the ICD Advisory Board. To learn more about the ICD Advisory Board, please click here.
