Achieving gender equality and women’s empowerment will require transformative action matched with transformative measurement. This event follows the work of WFP and partners in developing a series of impact evaluations to deliver robust evidence on what works and what doesn’t in gender and cash transfer programming. Presented in three parts, the session moves from the issue (what affects a woman in a household) to the response (what is being done about it) to the evidence (how we objectively evaluate results), before a moderated Q&A discussion allowing participants the opportunity to share experiences and insights and to question speakers.

Among the issues the session will explore are the factors that are preventing the achievement of gender equality and women’s empowerment; how evidence from impact evaluation can answer the call for more robust evidence and transformative measurement; and what challenges to impact evaluation measurement are presented by COVID-19 and how they can be overcome.

This is a free event.
