Laura Fantini has a multifaceted, more than fifteen years long, competence in designing, managing, monitoring and evaluating international projects and programmes in the field of development in several countries of the Global South. Moreover, she contributed to evaluation research, through her studies on theoretical and methodological approaches as well as conducting case studies and presenting operational results.  She also conducted a number of trainings and laboratories in the field of project cycle management, monitoring and evaluation. She is recently working as coordinator for an international NGO supporting capacity building and knowledge management initiatives in partnership with the International Fund for Agricultural Development. She works as M&E independent consultant. She served as co-convener of the Working Group on Development Evaluation at the European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI) and as member of the Italian Evaluation Association (AIV). She holds a PhD on Development Evaluation.
