According to the United Nations Secretary General’s report, only 12 per cent of SDG targets are on track. If current trends continue, 575 million people will still be living in extreme poverty in 2030. Children are already twice as likely as adults to live in extreme poverty, but when coupled with displacement, this situation takes on a significantly graver magnitude. This webinar will present how some initiatives around the world, such as the ‘2023 Global Refugee Forum’ (GRF), the ‘Action Agenda on Internal Displacement’ and the ‘Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection for Just Transitions’ can strengthen inclusive social protection systems for forcibly displaced populations.
