Description:
I am thrilled to share that I am teaching the 5th cohort of my course, Arts-Based Methods for Evaluators this January.

This 6-session skill-building course enables evaluators to add 4 arts-based tools to their toolbox: poetry, photo elicitation, drawing, and collage. With hands-on skill-building activities, rich group discussion, and 12 hours of original content, this course teaches evaluators how to use arts techniques to elicit rich qualitative data, navigate unique ethical considerations, and elevate meaningful engagement in their evaluation work. We explore case studies and real-world examples to build familiarity with using arts-based techniques across diverse evaluation contexts, with adult/youth participants, online/ in-person, and with individuals and groups. Evaluators at any career stage with experience/comfort using qualitative data collection/analysis techniques are welcome. Classes will be live from 9:00am-11:00am PST (5:00pm – 7:00pm GMT) every Wednesday or Thursday for 6 weeks from January 17/18 – February 21/22, 2024. We do not record, so attendance is required. The course is $925 CAD + tax (about $675 USD or €615). Flexible fees to support equity are available upon request.
