Hybrid meetings are the next frontier of collaboration. Are you ready?
Designing and leading hybrid meetings – with some participants located physically together and others participating remotely – can feel like a brain-bending challenge. We often run these kind of events in order to do theories of change, MEL planning, organisation wide learning and strategy development.
Our introductory (bootcamp) and in depth (masterclass) courses support meeting designers and facilitators to create energising connection, equitable participation, and effective outcomes in this new reality.
Our Hybrid Bootcamp is a 2.5 hour, fast-paced and densely packed introduction to hybrid best practices, while our 6 hour Hybrid Masterclass (https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/designing-and-delivering-hybrid-events-masterclass-3×25-hour-sessions-registration-367609077647?aff=OrlaPeregrine) offers meeting designers and facilitators more hands-on experience with more complex situations, peer coaching, problem solving, and more.
Both courses will explore: The first 10 minutes: Creating a safe and comfortable shared space Participation protocols, pre-messaging, and onboarding best practices to ensure that everyone feels welcome and fully involved from the start Facilitation and engagement strategies Fun and easy techniques and tricks to facilitate introductions and icebreakers, group go-arounds, visual brainstorming, breakout groups, plenary discussions and energizers Room setups and tech configurations for clear communication Technology and audio/video setups and products to enable effective collaboration, at the right level of complexity and cost for you and your group Roles, responsibilities and best practices for an effective hybrid facilitation team Hard-earned advice on managing complexity and making it fun! Reusable templates and resources for: Needs assessment/scoping Assigning roles and responsibilities Facilitation team backstage guide Pre-meeting checklist and messaging After-session reflection Slides and Miro frames you can copy and use in your own events
In addition, the Masterclass offers: Facilitation and engagement strategies for complex mixed-location activities Accessibility considerations to ensure equity across language, ability, differing technology and bandwidth, and time zones Design time, peer coaching and problem solving to help apply these tools to your real events (come with a scenario in mind!)
