Knowing what works. The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH evaluates its work worldwide at regular intervals. Which approaches are successful, and which are not?
Evaluations help us to further develop and improve our work. Our current evaluation report focuses on ‘Digitalisation for Development’ – a key issue for the future. It also summarises the results of over 200 project evaluations conducted in the past few years. The majority of the projects examined were operating in fragile environments, which poses particular challenges.
The following speakers will present and discuss the report at GIZ-Haus Berlin and on livestream:
- Jochen Flasbarth (State Secretary in the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and Chair of GIZ’s Supervisory Board)
- Ingrid-Gabriela Hoven (GIZ Management Board)
Following the presentation, you will have the opportunity to ask questions – either in person at GIZ-Haus Berlin or, if you are watching the livestream, online using the chat function. Doors open at GIZ-Haus Berlin at 12:30. Afterwards, there will be further opportunities for discussion there. A snack will be served.
We look forward to receiving your registration by email to veranstaltungen-evaluierung@giz.de by 20 March 2023. Please indicate whether you will be joining us in person at GIZ-Haus Berlin, or via the livestream. Dorothea Giesen-Thole (dorothea.giesen-thole@giz.de) will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
